I forgot my Yahoo! password!

Yahoo! remembers whoever logged in last, even if that person logged out, but they still want you to log in constantly. If you forgot your password or even your username, here's what you do.

1. Go to the Strawberry Creek Yahoo! site.
2. Click on the light blue link that says, "Sign in." You will be asked to verify your password
3. Click on the link at the bottom of the form that says, "Forget your ID or password?"
4. You will be taken to a page that asks for your Yahoo! ID and if you've ever used a credit card with Yahoo!
   • If you don't know your Yahoo! ID, there's a link that says, "I don't know my Yahoo! ID". Click that. You'll end up on the same page as if you do know your Yahoo! ID.
   • If you've never used a credit card with Yahoo!, keep that option selected and click the "Continue" button.
   • If you have used a credit card with Yahoo!, you can try using that option. Tonight (10/9/07) that option leads to a page that doesn't exist. If that happens to you, try selecting the option for people who haven't used a credit card.
5. The top of the next page wants you to confirm your identity. They'll compare the information you enter with the information you entered when you set up your account. They ask for:
   • Your Birthday
   • Your ZIP (or Postal) Code
   • Your Country or Territory
   • A security code. The security code is an image that is designed to be unrecognizable by robots so that only real people are able to set up Yahoo! accounts.
6. At the bottom of the page are options for getting a new password if you know your Yahoo! ID and for finding your ID by using your alternate email address.
   • If you know your ID, you will be asked your security question. Enter your answer and click "Display new password." If you don't remember your answer, there is another button farther down the page that says, "Email New Password." Click this button if you remember the email address you have in Yahoo! as your alternate email address.
   • If you forgot your Yahoo! ID, enter your email address into the field. This email address has to match the one Yahoo! has on file.
7. After you get your new password, log into Yahoo! and change it to a password that you'll be able to remember.
