How To Change Your Yahoo! Settings for Strawberry Creek's email Newsgroup
If you would like to find out how to join the Yahoo! Group, click here.
- Go to the SCFM Yahoo! groups site and log in
- At the top of the page, underneath the banner ad, is a line that has your profile name, your email address, your status in the group, and a link to "Edit Membership."
- Click on the link
What are the options in Yahoo! settings?
- Choose a profile from your Yahoo profiles to be your profile for this group
- This is your identity on the SCFM Yahoo site
- It shows up as the sender in emails you send out to the Yahoo group
- Change your email address
- You can enter multiple email addresses into Yahoo!
- You can select which email address of the ones you've entered will receive SCFM emails
- If you enter a new email address using this tool, it will send you a confirmation email
- You must read the email and follow the instructions in it to actually have the new email address show up in Yahoo!
- Change how many emails you receive
- You can choose to receive every email sent to the group
- You can choose to receive one digest email every day that includes all of the emails sent that day
- Change the format of the emails you receive
- This is defaulted to "Fully Featured"
- Emails include lots of information about what's happening on the Yahoo! group website
- All features may not be supported by your email client
- The other option is Traditional
- If other things have changed on the website, you won't know
- The email will display more readily
- If emails are coming to you from the Yahoo! group that tell you to take yoga instead of relating to the subject line, you might want to switch to Traditional format
- You can also leave the group from here
Be sure to click "Save Changes" when you're done.
